You know what's become one of the most played with toys in our backyard?
Our Spider Swing and don't worry, it doesn't come with actual spiderwebs ;)
Getting this swing set up was like a mini adventure in itself. Trying to climb our giant tree, shimmying across branches, and feeling like real-life Tarzans. Once we got the rope secured high enough for an epic swing over the lake, though, it was smooth sailing.
We have neighbors knocking on our door asking if they can come swing. The rush of wind and the fact that multiple kids can sit and stand on it at the same time is what makes it so popular. They've found all types of ways to ride on the swing, standing, laying, spinning, dangling, you name it.
Sometimes I wonder how it stays upright when there is only a single person on it, but somehow it does. If you're considering a swing for your backyard and have the space, we highly recommend this one! It has brought us so much joy and fun!
Here are the pros and cons:
Pros:
Sturdy Construction: The swing is built with durable materials, making it suitable for outdoor use and capable of handling multiple users at once.
Easy to Set Up: Despite its robust design, many users have found the swing relatively easy to assemble and install with the provided instructions.
Versatile: Users appreciate the swing's versatility, allowing for various riding positions such as sitting, standing, laying down, spinning, and more.
Appealing Design: The spiderweb design adds a fun and unique aesthetic to the backyard, making it an attractive feature for kids and adults alike.
Large Capacity: The swing can accommodate multiple children or even adults, making it a great option for families or gatherings.
Safe and Secure: With strong ropes and a stable design, users feel confident in the swing's safety, especially when used according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
Cons:
Space Requirements: Due to its size and swing radius, the swing may require a spacious area with a sturdy tree branch or support structure, which may not be suitable for all backyard setups.
Weight Limit: While the swing can handle multiple users, there is a weight limit to consider. Users should adhere to the weight restrictions to ensure safe usage.
Maintenance: Some users mention that the swing may require periodic maintenance, such as checking ropes for wear and tear or tightening bolts, to ensure long-term durability.
Assembly Time: While assembly is generally straightforward, it may take some time and effort, especially when securing the swing at an optimal height and angle.
Weather Resistance: While designed for outdoor use, exposure to extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain or prolonged sun exposure may impact the swing's longevity. Users may need to consider protective measures or storage during inclement weather.
Overall, the Play Platoon SpiderWeb Tree Swing offers a fun and exciting outdoor experience with considerations for safety, durability, and versatility. However, potential buyers should assess their space, maintenance capabilities, and usage requirements to determine if this swing is the right fit for their backyard.
